Nurtur for breast cancer support

Together we raise awareness, hope, and support for women and their families facing breast cancer

Breast cancer continues to impact women and families across the world. It has also touched our own industry, and now, and now Rebecca Combellack, a well known industry face and wife of Richard Combellack our CCO, is currently fighting her own battle.

Through a series of fundraising events — from walking 100 miles to braving the shave and hosting a charity ice hockey match — we’re standing up for everyone affected by breast cancer and supporting CoppaFeel! and Breast Cancer Now.

Our goal is to raise awareness for early diagnosis to help prevent tragedy, and to support the women and families who are facing this challenge every day.

Rebecca and Richard Combellack’s Story

Earlier in 2025, Rebecca Combellack, a well known figure in the industry, a contractor for Nurtur, the former manager or the studio of The Guild of professional estate agents and fine & country, and the wife of our Chief Commercial Officer, Richard Combellack, was diagnosed with breast cancer. The news came as a huge shock to Rebecca, Richard, and their family, as well as to all of us here at Nurtur.

Rebecca has faced her diagnosis with incredible strength and positivity, determined to raise awareness and help others through her journey.

“Since Rebecca’s diagnosis, we’ve been shocked at just how many young adults are also being diagnosed with breast cancer. With Rebecca being under 40, it has really highlighted the importance of raising awareness and educating people about the signs and symptoms.
Breast cancer isn’t something that only affects older women, and the earlier it is found, the better the chances of successful treatment — which is why we’re so determined to spread this message far and wide.”
Richard Combellack

Within the property industry, there have sadly been many cases where breast cancer has taken some of the industry’s greats — Rhona Green and Sarah Edmundson, to name just a couple — alongside many others who have also suffered but, thankfully, recovered.

As Rebecca continues her treatment, she will unfortunately lose her hair during chemotherapy. To show his support, Richard has bravely decided to shave his head, standing shoulder to shoulder with his wife. He’ll be doing this live at the EA Masters event to raise awareness and support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

In memory of Sarah Edmundson

The late Sarah Edmundson, who sadly passed away from breast cancer, was one of the most respected and inspiring figures in the property industry.

At just 38, Sarah had already made a lasting impact as the owner of Estate Agency Allstars and as CEO of Agents Together, the mentoring and support organisation founded by the Bruce brothers in 2020.

Sarah was also a passionate advocate for Women in Estate Agency (WiEA), where she worked tirelessly to empower women, champion equality, and drive meaningful change across the sector.

Her colleagues and friends described her as “truly one of a kind”, someone who always put others before herself. Through her leadership at Agents Together, she helped arrange hundreds of mentorships and provided tens of thousands of hours of coaching and support to agents and suppliers throughout the industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, it was Sarah’s daily acts of kindness, warmth, and compassion that left the deepest impression on everyone who knew her. Her loss is deeply felt across the estate agency community, but her legacy of care, courage, and generosity continues to inspire us all.

In memory of Rhonda Green

Rhona Green, Marketing Director at Andrews Property Group, sadly passed away suddenly in 2017. Having joined Andrews more than 20 years earlier and later becoming a board member in 2000, Rhona was widely recognised for her passion, drive, and unwavering loyalty.

Her colleague and friend, David Westgate, Group CEO, described her as an exceptional team member whose impact over the past two decades was immense. Rhona played a pivotal role in Andrews’ rebrand and was deeply committed to the company’s philanthropic initiatives, including leading its 70th anniversary campaign to raise funds for young people leaving the care system.

Her loss is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed by everyone at Andrews and across the wider property industry. Plans to honour Rhona’s legacy are being carefully developed in consultation with her family to ensure a tribute that truly reflects her values and the lasting mark she left on so many.

Together we raise awareness, hope, and support for women and their families facing breast cancer and remember the ones we have lost

In 2023, Lucy Thompson, founder of Norwich-based Reality Estate Agents, passed away aged 44. She launched the business in 2009 and was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, later receiving the all-clear before marrying Adam Thompson at Norwich Cathedral. The cancer returned in 2020 and spread to her liver. Lucy gave up work soon after to focus on treatment and fundraising, including a 24km run that raised £5,000 for local charities.
