Your Role:  

As an Apprentice Business Analyst at Nurtur.Tech, you’ll be instrumental in analysing business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the development of innovative solutions. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll translate business requirements into actionable insights and help implement strategies that drive business success.

What will you be doing?

  • Business Analysis: Conducting analysis, learning SQL and Excel to extract insights, identifying trends and presenting findings to senior line management. Investigating commercial viability and cost-benefit analysis of requested changes. Completing documentation for products and business areas to broaden knowledge on current product position.
  • Requirements Gathering: Being responsible for interpreting high-level business requirements into low-level functional specification and technical requirements. Ensuring these are communicated to technical teams without ambiguity to drive quality development from the outset. Creating user stories/impact mapping/as is and to be diagrams and other artefacts to represent all requested changes. Understand how user stories can be broken down for iterative development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Developing effective relationships across the business to be able to accurately represent stakeholders while developing requirements. Creating a bridge between business needs and technical scope. Understanding conflicting requirements and creating strategies for managing these effectively with requesting stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in key strategic data to provide actionable insights. Monitoring changes post-release to review hypotheses and determine success in achieving business initiatives.​
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness based on gap analysis and documentation. Driving continuous improvement in terms of tooling, knowledge sharing and support.
  • Project Support: Supporting requirements through the development lifecycle, including Design, Development, and Testing, and supporting in managing delivery to assure achievement of outcomes. Creating user documentation for projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Software Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes to provide relevant business insights.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance efforts to ensure solutions meet business requirements and high standards of quality.

Experience that will help in the role:

  • In the technology or software sector.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and project management principles.
  • User Acceptance Testing of products and services.
  • Working on several projects of varying size and complexity throughout the full project delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, data warehouse, data modelling and data visualisation).

The role is Monday to Friday working hours 09:00am -17:30pm, This will be hybrid working but the successful candidate will be required to commute to our office in Little Eaton, Derby at least once per week.
